These instructions indicate how to construct a desired map using the GTOPO30 data.

  • Download and install [[1]].
  • Goto GTOPO30 site and download all digital elevation model (DEM) maps that are contained within the region you are interested in.
  • Use gdal_merge to extract the specific region you are interested in:
